Russisches Haus

The Russian House right in the center of Berlin is a relic of the old Soviet times.

The monstrous building serves as the official home of the Russian government for the dissemination or propaganda of Russian science and culture.

Following Russia's invasion of, and war of aggression against Ukraine in 2022, it is run by the EU-sanctioned government agency Rossotrudnitschestwo. This makes it subject to public criticism and to question whether the continued operations of the Russian House violate EU sanctions.
